Just outside the city Oberpfälzer Frey city (county Neumarkt) is found with the Baroque pilgrimage church Maria Hilf an extraordinary sight. Cosmas Damian Asam and Egid Quirin worked here under the guidance of her father for the first time as a fresco painter. Maria Hilf was built in 1700 to 1710th The plan of the church is modeled after the legendary Grail Castle.
The film about Maria Hilf was the first practical test with the Sony HVR-HD1000P.
